Welcome to the recipes portion of my blog! Here you’ll find yummy recipes I cook for myself and for my family. A little back story for my style of cooking. In 2019 my husband and I decided to convert over to vegan as a trial thing. We had heard about all the benefits of eating vegan and thought we should give it a try. Now this was quite a challenge for us because we both LOVE cheese. But after a little bit we got the hang of it and it turns out I like cooking vegan more than I liked cooking normal. Cut to this page, I experiment with so many different things to get the flavors and satisfactory savoriness of food that I desire. I don’t just eat lettuce all day long.
Since 2019, I have tried to maintain the “Vegan” lifestyle however, I do not call myself a vegan. I enjoy eating vegan, I love to cook vegan, but I am not a vegan. There are still some non vegan things I will eat on occasion. Does this make me any less of a person because I will not fit myself into one box….NOPE. I eat vegan 99% of the time and I’m ok with that. Here you’ll find the recipes I love to cook.
Here’s the fun part of my kitchen adventures, my kids do not eat vegan. So now, I make two different dinners every night. Yes, I know I should just check myself into the loony bin right now, right?? But believe it or not, our children rarely eat meat, they don’t really like the flavor. If they do eat meat, it’ll be a little bit of chicken or a burger. You’ll find some of the (very basic) recipes I use for the kid’s dinners. They have not developed a pallet for big flavors yet. I also LOVE to bake so you’ll see vegan and non-vegan baking recipes here. If you want to see a recipe, please let me know!
Advertisements Everyone needs a solid, vegan nacho cheese recipe. The satisfying factor from this “cheese,” is unreal! I LOVE nachos, too much probably, this recipe does everything I’m looking for…plus…
These oat breakfast cookies are so easy and guilt free, you’ll want to have them for breakfast every day. If you are looking for a way to sneak in some more protein into your child(rens) diet, these are a good, easy way to do it. Oats provide a healthy, easy source of protein.
